I’m Bradley Niederman, a Colorado-based music photographer with over 40 years behind the lens. My work has appeared with outlets like Live For Live Music, Live & Listen, and as staff photographer for Dupree’s Diamond News, a beloved Grateful Dead–focused publication. I’ve photographed performances at legendary venues including Red Rocks, Mission Ballroom, Alpine Valley, Greek Theatre Berkeley, Shoreline Amphitheatre, Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, Henry J Kaiser, and many more.
My journey began at age 8, when my dad handed me my first camera — a bayonet mount Nikkormat — and introduced me to the music of Big Band and Jazz. I later discovered Blues and Rock & Roll, and at 15, the Grateful Dead. By 18, I was bringing my camera into their shows, capturing the moments where music and visual storytelling meet.
While live music remains my main focus, I also offer photography services for recording sessions, promotional materials, and album artwork. In the past, I’ve worked with bands to create images that go beyond the stage — telling their story in the studio, on the road, and in the press.
Frequently shooting at Denver and Boulder's most iconic venues — including Red Rocks, Fiddler's Green, Mission Ballroom, Ogden Theatre, Gothic Theatre, Fillmore Denver, Fox Theater and Boulder Theater — I bring the same passion and attention to detail whether I’m photographing a sold-out arena, a small club, or a quiet recording session.
Whether it’s the first chord of a set, a quiet moment in the recording booth, or the cover shot for your next release, my goal is the same: to create images that capture the rhythm, soul, and story of your music.
